Dina Chávez is a contemporary women’s apparel designer, active in the Austin fashion scene whose elegant designs can be described as sensually classic. She studied Costume Design at the University of Texas at Austin as well as Fashion Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her designs have been featured in a multitude of blogs in Austin and around the state. A few of those publications are FashionablyAustin.com, Austin360.com, Austin Fusion Magazine, TexasLifestyleMag.com and the Austin American-Statesman’s Home Matters. Ms. Chávez’s 2015 Holiday Collection was featured in a segment on Time Warner Cable News: New Year’s Eve Trends segment with media host and personality, Anne Hudson. Her looks have been shown at New York Fashion Week, Austin Fashion Week, The Pin Show (Dallas, TX), The Gotham City Films Studio (Los Angeles, CA) and have been created for Austin based rockstar, Kimberly Freeman for the Grammy Awards. Ms. Chávez was a Top 12 finalist in the Bernina Blanc Design Challenge in 2015.
